ABOUT OUR CITRUS TREE
Hi, I’m the Citrus tree. My favourite time of the year is coming up and I have to say there’s nothing quite like growing your own fruit over the hot summer months. I like to think of myself as trendy and adaptable. You can place me outside in the spring and summer months where I will enjoy the long sunny days. When Autumn arrives you can place me in a well lit conservatory or by a south facing window. I can tolerate temperatures of as low as 7°C so the best time to bring me inside would be September/October. While I'm not one to make a fuss I do prefer filtered or rainwater. Tap water can be a bit harsh on my delicate root system.
My family is a large one and so far there’s over 66 known species of citrus trees. We’re grown and cultivated all over the world from Australia to the Mediterranean. We’ve certainly taken the world by storm as a stylish indoor and outdoor plant.
Place me by your sunniest window and I’ll bring elegance and sophistication into your indoor jungle.

THINGS WE ALWAYS GET ASKED
How do you look after citrus trees?
Citrus tree care is easy. Place your citrus tree in the sunniest part of your home or in your garden (during the spring and summer). Citrus trees love the sunshine and ideally should receive 8-12 hours of light everyday. In the winter your citrus tree will only need watering when the first two inches of soil have dried out. This could be as little as only once every 10 days. In the summer months your citrus tree will need regular watering especially if it’s outside.
How much sun does a citrus tree need?
The citrus tree likes full, direct sunlight for 8-12 hours a day. Place your citrus tree in the sunniest part of the home and only water when the first inch of soil has dried out. The more sun your citrus tree receives, the more frequently it will need watering.
What water is best for my citrus tree?
If possible use filtered or rain water to avoid damaging the root system with the harsh chemicals found in tap water. Use room temperature water because hot or cold water can shock the root system.
PLANT STYLING TIPS
The citrus tree should be styled in a corner of a room by a big window for that tropical, summer-y feeling that we all love. The citrus tree is guaranteed to look stunning indoors or outdoors. Use two citrus trees on either side of your front door to welcome your friends and family.
