Lighting for your Dracaena
Drake likes filtered sunlight, he also does well in a bit of shade. Never put Drake in direct sunlight as his leaves will burn.
Watering your Dracaena
In the summer from March to September, we recommend watering once a week. Watering Wednesday is a great way to remember. He likes his leaves misted and soil never soggy.
In the winter from October to February reduce watering to once or twice a month. Let Drake almost completely dry out before watering in the winter.
Humidity for your Dracaena
Drake likes humidity. To increase humidity you can use a Humidifier, place Drake next to other houseplants or you can fill a saucer with pebbles and water, place Drake on top of this.
Fertiliser for your Dracaena
From March to August give Drake some houseplant fertiliser every two weeks when watering.
Repotting your Dracaena
When Drakes roots start to come out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot, it is time to repot. For soil, a well drained potting soil is perfect.
Dracaena plant care problems
Crisp, brown leaves result from direct sunlight or low humidity.
Some yellowing of lower leaves is normal. Sudden yellowing of leaves is due to overwatering.
