Lighting for your Ficus Ginseng

Bonsai likes a sunny spot. He will be happy in front of a south/west facing window with bright sunlight.

Watering your Ficus Ginseng

In the summer from March to September keep Bonsai's soil moist, we recommend watering once to twice a week. Watering Wednesday and Soak Sunday. To make sure you're not overwatering put your finger into the top of the soil, if the soil is wet do not water, if the soil is dry, it's time to water.
In the winter from October to February reduce watering to once a week or less. Use your finger to test the soil moisture before watering.

Humidity for your Ficus Ginseng

Bonsai likes humidity. To increase humidity you can use a Humidifier, place Bonsai next to other houseplants or you can fill a saucer with pebbles and water, place on top of this.

What Fertiliser should I use for Ficus Ginseng

From March to August give Bonsai some houseplant fertiliser every two weeks when watering. In the winter fertilise every month.

Repotting your Ficus Ginseng

Repot every other year in the spring time. For soil, we recommend using a basic soil mix.

Ficus Ginseng care Problems

  • Bonsai doesn't like to be moved and he will drop his leaves when his environment changes, find a place for him and keep him settled.
  • Yellowing leaves usually occurs from overwatering/soggy soil.
  • Leaves turning brown and crisp, usually from low humidity. Get the water spray out!
