LIGHTING FOR YOUR PHILODENDRON
Phil likes bright indirect sunlight. He will also tolerate shady spots. But, like most houseplants, bright sun with shade and avoiding hot midday direct sun is perfect for Phil.
WATERING YOUR PHILODENDRON
Make sure you allow the top 2 inches of the soil to dry before watering. As Phil is in a big pot it is most likely the bottom of the soil will remain moist which is perfect but, houseplants hate soggy bottoms. Watering once a week will most likely be great.
In the winter from October to February reduce watering to once a week or less. Houseplant watering guide
HUMIDITY FOR YOUR PHILODENDRON PLANT
Phil will tolerate normal room humidity. Small brown spots may appear on his leaves if he needs a little bit more humidity.
FERTILISER FOR YOUR PHILODENDRON PLANT
From March to August give Phil some houseplant fertiliser every month when watering.
REPOTTING YOUR PHILODENDRON PLANT
When the roots start to grow out of the bottom opening of the pot, it is time to put Phil into a larger pot.
PHILODENDRON PLANT CARE PROBLEMS
Brown spots on leaves can be from low humidity.
Browning leaves can be from, too much sunlight or most likely overwatering.
